![]() ![]() We use this stuff all day every day, if it wasn't safe to use and turn into fine dust and smoke, we would not have it around. The plywood that we use also has no VOC's and is formaldehyde free so it is safe to be around and use. This will make the letters more stable (less warping) and they can be painted, stained or decorated easier will less finish work. You will find more plies per inch and no voids in the plies. The main difference is in the edge quality. There are distinct advantages to using Baltic Birch plywood versus lesser quality plywood's. We cut our plywood letters with Baltic Birch plywood. The edges of the wood will need a light sanding to make them completely smooth. An interior square corner is impossible because the bit is round so there will be a slightly round radius on any interior square corner. Because these letters are cut with a CNC machine, there are limitations to how it can cut. One of the major differences is that the CNC machine uses a cutter and the laser uses light to cut the wood. There are differences when we cut on a laser and a CNC machine. ![]() Our thick wood letters are cut on a CNC router. Look for lower case Times New Roman letters here. Our thick wood letters in Times New Roman are easy to paint and decorate for your craft projects.
